Our story
A mother's kitchen in Bharatpur
When Upma Bhatnagar was pregnant, and through the months after her baby arrived, her family made her laddus from recipes they had cooked in their Rajasthan kitchen for generations. Her mother, Mamta, made them.
Upma decided other families should be able to get laddus like these, and started Laddum with the recipes and with her father, Dr. Chandra Prakash Bhatnagar, who has spent more than 35 years in Ayurveda.
Upma has since moved on to a venture of her own. Mamta, who made those first laddus, now runs Laddum as Co-Founder and CEO, and Dr. Bhatnagar is our Chief Ayurvedic Advisor.

How we make them
- In Bharatpur, Rajasthan. One kitchen, at 458 Krishna Nagar, licensed under FSSAI 12225015000303.
- By hand, in small batches. Flours and dals are roasted, mixed with nuts, seeds and the sweetener, and rolled by hand.
- Family recipes. Dr. Bhatnagar guides which ingredients go in and how they're prepared.
- Your way, from 2.5 kg. We can change the ghee, sweetener and sweetness, or leave ingredients out. Everything is made in one shared kitchen, so we can't make anything allergy-safe.

What we will and won't tell you
- We'll show the full ingredient list, the nutrition table and every label note on every laddu.
- We'll tell you how families have traditionally eaten a laddu, and say that it's tradition.
- We won't tell you a laddu will fix a health problem. They're food. For anything about your body, especially in pregnancy, please ask your doctor.
