How it began
When Upma Bhatnagar was pregnant, and through the months after her baby was born, her family in Rajasthan made her laddus from recipes they had cooked for generations. Her mother, Mamta, made them.
Upma turned those recipes into Laddum, with her father, Dr. Chandra Prakash Bhatnagar, who has spent 35+ years in Ayurveda. Upma has since moved on to another venture. Mamta now runs Laddum as Co-Founder and CEO, and Dr. Bhatnagar is our Chief Ayurvedic Advisor.
The kitchen is in Bharatpur. Every laddu is still made by hand, in small batches.

How they're made
01
भूनना
Millet, dal or seeds are roasted slowly, most in ghee, until they smell nutty.
02
मिलाना
Nuts, seeds, spices and the sweetener (desi khand, jaggery, mishri or dates) go in by hand.
03
बाँधना
Each laddu is rolled by hand, in small batches, in our Bharatpur kitchen.
04
सजाना
Wrapped in gold foil, jarred and labelled with the full ingredient list and nutrition table.
Shop by need
Each door opens a landing page with the laddus chosen for it, the label notes that matter, and the questions people ask.
Samajh Ke Khao
Every ingredient we use, what it is, where it grows, and which laddus it goes into.

Orders reach most of India in 4 to 7 working days from dispatch. Shipping is free on orders above ₹999. Orders placed before 12:00 pm are processed for dispatch the same day.
Most of our labels say to eat them within 60 days of making; Sonth keeps 80 days, Thandai and Dry Fruits Seedmix 90. Keep the jar closed, in a cool, dry place. Refrigerate only in very hot weather.
Both are ghee. A2 cow bilona ghee is made from A2 cow milk by the bilona churning method, and costs more. Pick whichever your family uses at home. Thandai and Dry Fruits Seedmix are made with no ghee.
No refined white sugar. Most laddus are sweetened with desi khand or jaggery, and Dry Fruits Seedmix with dates and raisins. That is still sugar, so every product page shows the added sugar per 100 g and per serve.
We can leave ingredients out of a custom order (minimum 2.5 kg), but we can't make anything allergy-safe. Every laddu is made in one shared kitchen in Bharatpur that handles nuts, peanuts, sesame, milk products (ghee) and oats. We cannot guarantee any laddu is free of traces of these.
